WASC Coordinator

Cassandra Pereira did a fantastic job as our WASC Coordinator for the 2013-2014 Self-Study.  Without her dedication, organization, and perseverance, we would not have the beautiful report that we do.  Thank you!

Santa Teresa High School underwent a self-study to renew our accreditation.  The Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) visited our campus March 2-5, 2014 to see for themselves our quality of instruction and learning.  By reading our self-study report and by visiting our classrooms, meeting with students, staff, and parents, and evaluating the work of our students, the visiting team determined what level of accreditation they will recommend.  If you would like to read our Self-Study Report for 2013-2014, please click on the link: ST Self-Study Report.  If you would like to read the Visiting Committee's report, please click on the link: VC Report.

Help Needed to Review, Revise, and Publish 2014-15 Single Plan for Student Achievement

By May, we need to review the 2013-14 Single Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA), review the recommendations of the WASC Visiting Committee, make revisions to our SPSA, and publish the 2014-2015 SPSA for School Site Council to approve.  By June 1st, we need to send in a copy of the SPSA to WASC.
Here is a copy of the draft SPSA so far.
That said, the review and revision of the Action Plan (aka Single Plan for Student Achievement) should be a group effort.  On Thursday, March 27 from 3:15pm-4:15pm, we will spend time to analyze the Visiting Committee's recommendations and analyze our current draft of the 2014-15 Action Plan (aka Single Plan for Student Achievement) to ensure our strategies are aligned to our identified areas of growth.
Please RSVP to Principal Louie (louieg@esuhsd.org) so that we know how many people will participate.  Teachers, classified staff, students, and parents are welcome to participate.  If we have a small group, we will meet in the Principal's Conference room or Staff Work Room.  If we have a large group, we will meet in the Library.  I will also provide snacks and drinks.
