Summer information

Please check the individual sport page for updates on summer conditioning/gym times.  Please remember that incoming freshmen are not allowed to participate until after they have graduated from 8th grade.

SANTA TERESA HIGH FOOTBALL TRYOUTS

 

WHEN:  MONDAY - JUNE 12, 2017  

(4:00 – 6:30 PM) Tryouts continue throughout the entire summer 2-3 days / week Summer Schedule

 

WHERE: SANTA TERESA HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL FIELD

 

NEEDS:

1. CURRENT PHYSICAL (within 1 year)

2. HEALTH INSURANCE INFORMATION

3. ATHLETIC CLOTHING

4. DRINKING WATER

 

If you cannot get a physical before June 13th, Dr. Brad Pluckhan will be at Santa Teresa High School to give physicals at 5:30 PM on June 13th.  The fee is $30.00 cash.

Congratulations to Darius Van Den Akker (2nd at CCS in the 200m) and Taivon Payne (3rd at CCS in both the Discus and Shot Put) for making the California State Track & Field Championships this weekend at Buchanon High School in Clovis. Both teams finished strong at CCS placing both in the top 11. Congrats on a superb season Saints!

Spring CCS!

Congrats to the Swimming & Diving team, they qualified 11 (1 diver and 10 swimmers) to CCS and had a very good showing. 

 

Congrats to the Girls Softball team. They qualified as Tri-MHAL Champs and were awarded a berth in the Open Division of the CCS Playoffs (Update: they beat San Benito 7-5 and take on St. Francis in the Semi-Finals Wednesday, May 24th, 4:30pm at PAL Stadium in San Jose)

 

Congrats to the 23 Track & Field members for making CCS Semi-finals and to those 15 who have made the Finals of CCS, which will take place on Friday, May 26th at Gilroy High School.

Congratulations to the 2016-17 CCS Wrestling Honor Coach of the Year, Jorge Barajas. He was awarded by the CCS Commissioner, Duane Morgan (fmr. ST Assoc. Principal too). Thanks for representing ST well over the past six plus years coach. 

 

Online Athletic Registration

Online Athletic Registration:

  • Go to www.athleticclearance.com  (The Santa Teresa High School student’s legal parent/guardian must fill out information on the Athletic Clearance site.)
  • From there, click START CLEARANCE, then choose the correct School Year, Santa Teresa High School (CIF-CCS), and the sport (do for the first sport season you are trying out for).
  • Fill in all required blanks in each of the sections.
  • You must download the approved ESUHSD Physical (found on either the STHS or Athletic Clearance websites.)
  • You must scan the fully completed physical with doctor’s signature.
  • This is the only valid form we can take, all others will be rejected.
  • Students will not be cleared unless all documents are complete and uploaded into the Athletic Clearance website and all required information sections are filled out and online signature given.

*Since this online registration is new to Santa Teresa this year, please direct all questions to an Athletic Director via email.

Spring Sports Information

Tryouts for spring sports will begin on January 30.  For specific information for each sport, please contact the head coach.  Remember that to tryout out, you must have completed the online registration with your physical attached.

The athletics program at Santa Teresa will strive to maintain high levels of successful athletic opportunities that provide safe, equitable, and engaging experiences to all student-athletes. All student athletes will promote the highest standards of ethics, sportsmanship, respect, and responsibility. They will promote these attributes with assistance from their coaches, teachers, parents, and staff of Santa Teresa. Leadership will be encouraged along with developing and nurturing athletic skills in the positive spirit of competition.
