OCTOBER 1, 2013: DAY OF AWARENESS

To kick off Healthy Choices Week, Santa Teresa High School focused on "awareness."  The campus was on a School Wide Lesson schedule, which featured the student produced video: HCW: Day of Awareness   During lunch, students signed a pledge poster.

OCTOBER 2, 2013: DAY OF CREATING SAFE CYBERSPACES

The second day of Healthy Choices Week addressed "cyberbullying."  The student produced video: HCW: Day of CreatingSafe Cyberspaces.  During lunch, there was a photo booth available.

OCTOBER 3, 2013: DAY OF SHARING

The third day of Healthy Choices Week focused on "sharing."  The campus was again on a School Wide Lesson schedule, which featured the student produced video: HCW: Day of Sharing. During lunch, students participated in a lunch time activity.

OCTOBER 4, 2013: DAY OF REACHING OUT

The fourth day of Healthy Choices Week focused on "reaching out."  The campus was on an extended lunch schedule, featuring a community health resource fair and a helping-hands wall at lunch.  There was also a five minute student produced video, "The Day of Reaching Out." Staff were provided a "Bullying Stops Here" t-shirt.

Past Healthy Choices events included larger than life food created by the art department and a collaborative effort involving the science department regarding the use of plastic water bottles.
